The original
Audio Reproduction Company
(ARC) loudspeakers from Manchester were designed with in house
drive units. NERO Audio are manufacturing the 802 bass /
midrange driver to the original ARC specifi cation.
The
original ARC HF 2501 / HF 2502 tweeter has been replaced by the
legendary Scan Speak D 2010 tweeter giving the new NERO speakers
uncompromising quality whilst retaining the musical qualities of
the original ARC loudspeakers.
A unique feature of NERO
loudspeakers is the plug-in crossover brick which allows for
easy upgrading from passive to active without changing the
speakers. To go from passive to active the crossover brick is
unplugged revealing the direct connection to the drive units for
the power amplifiers. ARC Loudspeakers are thus described as
ACTIVE / PASSIVE. |

ARC 050
The NERO ARC 050 is based on the classic
“ARC 050 S” loudspeaker originally manufactured by ARC
loudspeakers in Manchester. This two way speaker uses a cast
aluminium chassis ARC 802 bass / midrange unit (originally
designed for the high end ARC 202) and the classic Scan Speak
D2010 / 851100 Tweeter. |

ARC 102
The NERO ARC 102 is based on the classic ”ARC 101 and ARC 102”
loudspeaker originally manufactured by ARC loudspeakers in
Manchester. This two way speaker uses a stiffened and braste
Medite cabinet, cast aluminium chassis ARC 802 bass / midrange
unit (originally designed for the high end ARC 202) and the
classic Scan-Speak D2010 / 851100 Tweeter.
The ARC 102
can also be considered a compact version of the uncompromising
